Wanting to update my webpage but so over whelmed with having to learn how to use Word Press. It has taken me several hours just to log in and hopefully get this short post on the site. Only one thing to do, figure it out!

It has been a while since I have updated my site. Unfortunately it has been almost as long since I have done much art work. I took last year off of going to local craft shows to try to decide what direction I am going to take with my art. I have not made any big decisions. I have been in a slump for a while and have not been inspired to paint. Between taking workshops and attending local art groups, I have learned a lot but they have reinforced how far I have to go and I feel overwhelmed. I am hoping I can change that this year and get my desire to paint back. Wish me luck!

After reading about composition, I am trying to decide if I am going to try to fix any of my paintings or just start fresh.  I know I am supposed to start fresh but there are some I really liked until I started studying composition. I am thinking I will read  and study some more before I put brush to paint. Possibly starting with a goal of doing a value sketch a day instead of a painting a day.

Still trying to figure out Word Press. Had lots of fun at Paula Moore’s Watercolor workshop today and at the Pierce City Arts Festival on Saturday. Thank you to everyone who attended my workshop.
